The Church Board decided to merge the Communication Task Force with the Evangelism Committee and re-name the Committee the “Good News Committee”.  The Good News Committee will have seven (7) to ten (10) members with no designated terms.  Committee members will select two (2) or three (3) co-chairpersons annually and the co-chairpersons can serve a maximum of two (2) consecutive annual terms, unless the committee approves a longer term.  The Good News Committee will liaison with and report directly to the Church Board.  Committee duties include: spreading the good news of Zion’s Union Church Maxatawny and God to members, visitors and the general public; updating and maintaining the Church website; updating and maintaining the Church Facebook Pages; children's grab bags for Church; identifying areas of communication concerns that may need to be improved upon; identifying additional role players that may be needed in our communication network and/or roles that may need to be modified; developing a plan to address areas of concern; and creating a foundation to monitor and address future communication concerns.
