The Safe Kids Policy will be carried out under the guidance and oversight of the Safe Kids Committee.  The Safe Kids Committee is responsible for (1) maintaining this policy and related forms, (2) overseeing policy implementation, (3) evaluating and ensuring effectiveness, (4) requesting adequate funding and staffing, (5) overseeing the screening and selection process, (6) providing training, and (7) overseeing record keeping.  The committee includes: 3-4 congregational members, experience with Safe Kids or Human Resources policies a plus; Church Board liaison; Pastor; Office manager assists with paperwork and background check processing.  Terms: 3 year term, with no maximum number of terms, appointed by Church Board.
