Zion's Union Sunday School begins at 9 AM every Sunday.
Throughout the school year, the classes are organized to provide optimum interactions in similar school-age groups for all our young and young-at-heart learners. Beginning with the opening in the Multi Purpose Room, children through adults then move to their rooms to continue conversation, activities, and learning based on the Bible. Children from preschool to grade 6 learn and engage in activities on their grade level with bible stories using Augsburg Fortress Sparkhouse & David C. Cook Bible to Life curriculums. Our Middle School class engages in the Faith Inkubators curriculum. The High School and Young Adult classes discuss topics close to their faith journey, while the adults meet in two classes using bible based materials of their choosing. These classes are designed to provide a rich learning experience for all while building valuable relationships. On special Sundays like "The Sweetest Day" (Valentine's Day) and "Christian Family Day/Bring a Friend Sunday," the entire Sunday School community gathers in the Fellowship Hall. These are the days when we all come together, hear from a special guest, creatively learn bible verses, make a craft, enjoy snacks, and sing together. With such a variety of activities, there's something for everyone to look forward to. The Sunday School also provides opportunities for outreach & mission in its Annual Strawberry Festival in June, Worship in the Park in August, and provide an engaging Christmas Pageant during worship and over the Summer months spend time together in Vacation Bible School! Come and See. Come and Engage. Come and bring friends! We have a place for you! |
